Self Control - The Equation for a great life
Self-control
Have you ever noticed that obese people are usually poor too.
There are two arithmetic equations. One for obtaining wealth, and the other for staying reasonably slender. These two equations are just the opposite of each other.
The first for obtaining wealth is spend less than you take in.
The second is Take in less than the calories or fat you use on a daily basis. Some diets even say you can cheat one day a week, either by not exercising or having a yummy dessert.

Credit Cards
You never want to use credit cards too much. Do a single transaction or what you can pay off in full every month.
If a credit limit is $300, then you want to max out at $90 on credit reporting day. You can call your lender and ask when is your reporting day to the credit bureaus.

Hard Work and the Pursuit of Happiness
Just finished watching parts of Pursuit of Happyness. Mr. Gardner worked hard, trying to support his family, doing the extra work to overcome obstacles, and finally it all paid off. Making the right shortcuts, putting forth the required effort and still meet parental obligations, and diligence in work efficiencies, he was rewarded handsomely with a job and many clients.
Another thought-provoking line was that Thomas Jefferson, put in the pursuit of happiness, not just happiness. Sometimes the road is the privilege and not the guarantee.
